Sore Labial Swelling

Showering on Sunday, I felt a lumpy swelling in my left labia - it certainly wasn't there on Saturday. The skin is swollen, but not hot or red. The swelling feels like it's under the skin - about 1,5cm x 1cm- and hurts a bit when I touch it. There's no head on it. What could it be? I had a Bartholin's cyst many years ago but that was much higher up near the vagina so don't think it's that. It hasn't got better or worse since Sunday - did NHS symptoms checker which basically said wait a few days and see what happens, but I want it to GO!! Any advice please?

oh I had something that may be similar, my inner left labia ended up massive and incredibly painful, I couldn’t sit or sleep etc. it was an infected abscess by my clitoris. I was confused as I’d read about bartholins ones and it wasn’t there but apparently you can get them anyway.

had to do hot baths multiple times a day, I used a heated pad like for periods to help as I don’t actually have a bath, painkillers and mine needed a week of antibiotics

Even though only one person replied, thought I would give an update. Went to the Dr today who diagnosed an infected sebaceous cyst on the labia. Prescribed antibiotics for a week. The pain is getting even worse now - hope it won't be long before it bursts. Dr assured me that it will have gone before my holiday in 2 weeks. I hope she is right but hopefully sooner than that!

I had one which burst between making the doctor's appointment and seeing the doctor. I got antibiotics and instructions to have a salt bath twice daily. (Didn't need to be a deep bath, just enough cover the wound.) It also led to a check for blood sugars and a type 2 diabetes diagnosis, because apparently thry can be more common with diabetics.
