How often do you go to the dentist?

Just that really. I go every 6 months, I try so hard to floss, brush daily, mouthwash etc and I’m always told xyz needs doing better. You need a filling (again) I just feel deflated. I genuinely try to look after my teeth and it’s so expensive. Now got to find more money for a filling.

Anyone else? First world problems I know…

Every six months and I also visit a private hygienist every six months as well as flossing etc. Never have to have work done thankfully because I spend enough!

Every 6 months, check up and hygienist. Never had a filling or any treatment other than my wisdom teeth out.
Some of it is genetic though according to my dentist, I do brush well but I think I just have good teeth.

I go privately, on Denplan Care

Annually, but I almost never need anything doing.
Dentist always asks about sugary foods, fozzy drinks etc, tells me I shouldn't have them when I say I do, then examines my teeth says they are fine and to book for 12m time.

I had problems with one of my wisdom teeth which took a long time fully erupting and so couldn't be cleaned properly, and then decayed about 20 years later and needed fillings, but that has been removed now.

Two to three times a year!

Not nearly often enough because I’m terrified after bad experiences in both childhood and adulthood (I know that more often would mean less work, nobody needs to tell me). I’m booked with a new dentist this Saturday who’s been recommended as great with phobic patients. Wish me luck 😞

Good luck - I can recommend one in Lancashire that is expensive but excellent and they will happily offer sedation if needed
you don’t even have to go in for your first appointment, they will meet you in a coffee shop etc

Not having to have anything done has no relationship with what you spend.

Cleaning habits and diet are what make a healthy mouth.
