Intolerance testing

can anyone recommend a good intolerance test please? I really cut back on carbs and sugar for two weeks ahead of my holiday and having gotten a bit lazy this week had a couple of convenience foods days and my face is noticeably redder and rather hot to touch at times. Without the sugar and carbs my face drastically looked slimmer and I had developed a jawline quickly, felt more energy in myself. I know this is natural reaction to cutting crap out but now I am keen to do an intolerance test as I’ve never experienced such a difference in face colour and shape with going back on the white carbs. Just looking for a decent provider or to hear any good experiences please

There are no tests for intolerances (any that say they do this are scams), you'll need to do an exclusion diet to find out what triggers your symptoms.

However, if you even vaguely suspect a problem with gluten, keep eating it until you've been tested for coeliac disease.

AFAIK they are a waste of money.
The only way to actually tell if you are intolerant to something is to go through a very controlled elimination diet.

Interesting. How to know where to start? Cut out food items one by one?

Yes, one thing at a time.

But do consider coeliac testing first.

Have you looked up the symptoms for coeliac disease, because you would have more problems than a red, hot face? Have you considered that you might have a virus that is giving you a bit of a temperature?

I think that most people feel better after cutting down on processed foods. It doesn't mean you are intolerant to anything in particular.

If you do feel that you are intolerant then you would need to follow a FODMAP diet, but you would need to to it under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional.
