TSH 0.64, is this low?

I’ve felt tired for years.
I’m ok according to my GP. I don’t feel like I am. My hair is thinning, I can’t sleep, etc…. I’m 54 and been on hrt for 5 years, but it honestly hasn’t made much difference. Well, I’ve just trawled through all my blood tests from the last 6 years and my TSH has never been higher than 0.64.
Is that low enough to be causing my symptoms? Even though it’s technically within the normal range
Please help, I feel like giving up

It’s totally normal. An underactive thyroid is when TSH is over 4. So perhaps at 3.5 maybe would cause symptoms in some people. But 0.64 is optimal.

@Myjobisridiculous mine has recently came back as 0.59. I think it's on the low end of normal. I'm going to get mine recheck. What about you?

Myjobisridiculous · 13/10/2025 21:52

@LavendarPink Tbh I haven’t done anything yet. I just kind of carry on feeling awful.

No it’s normal. A high TSH indicates hypothyroidism, so a TSH above 4, possibly even above 3. Between 0.5 and 1 is optimal.
