Dental implant was it painful?

Hi has anyone had a dental implant and was it painful?
I'm having one done on the top left tooth next week.
Going out to buy soft foods for after the treatment.
I won't like the dental needles, I never do. Just wondering is there any pain during or after and if so, is it manageable. Will I be able to clean the house, walk the dogs etc...

It was fine, I could do all activities as normal with no issues.
I hate dentist needles, but it’s over in a second so I just gritted my teeth. You just feel a bit of pressure, and of course the noise from the drill, when they are doing it but pain absolute fine once the numbness wears off. I possibly took paracetamol for a day or two at most.
I did look like I’d been punched when the bruising and swelling came out the next day though.

It was absolutely fine, and I escaped the bruising I was warned might happen.
It's not pleasant but I had zero pain and my jaw just felt a little tender for a couple of days - nothing bad though. The worst bit was the dissolving stitches took about 10 days to break down and for a while I had a bit of a hanging suture that I definitely couldn't pull out - it was a bit freaky.

it was fine for me too. Like other posters said it was more a feeling of pressure and mild discomfort than anything . I took paracetamol for a couple of days and did have some bruising around my jaw and mouth however I do bruise easily and had 4 teeth done. Honestly it’s a game changer though, you won’t regret it .

Ask them to put numbing gel where they are going to inject, you shouldn’t feel the needle at all then.
