Hi

I am 33 years old and recently had a 5 day holter monitor. This showed I had an episode of SVT and my HR went to 185.

However, it self resolved and cardiology don't want to see me.

Has anyone experienced SVT at this age? What do I need to keep an eye on? Obviously HR. I often get periods where it goes so fast I get black spots in my vision but then self resolves. I now wonder if on reflection I should have to go to be seen in A&E?

Cardiology most unhelpful. No advice given discharged to GP.

Thanks.

I have SVT.
I'm not under cardiology now because it's stable but I was for a few years.
The advice I was given was that when it starts try various manoeuvres to stop it ( Google vagal manoeuvres). If it resolves fine but if it's still very high after half an hour head for A&E.
At A&E they have several ways to stop it. My worst went over 200bpm and was sustained over 180bpm for a few hours.
I take calcium channel blockers and it mostly self resolves.
I find triggers are infections, heat and some drugs but it frequently starts and stops while I am asleep.
