I can’t stop being sick, what is going on!

About 7pm last night I came over really nauseous, but went to sleep okay. Woke this morning and from 7am onwards it’s been nonstop D&V and the worst radiating pain in my back/abdomen. I literally cannot keep down 2 sips of water.

Thank goodness for my MIL who has taken toddler DD out today as DH is managing a shift, I was completely hopeless this morning. I rang 111 because of the pain and they’ve arranged a call back from my GP in the next 6 hours but what could it be?

Normal stomach bug? Norovirus? I have taken up permanent residence in the bathroom. In need of serious assistance.

It sounds like noro, I've had it and basically been glued to the loo holding a basin for simultaneous d&v. I found it very painful because the vomming nothing to vom vomming feels like you're heaving up your innards. I couldn't keep water down and couldn't sleep for the d&v. It was 'active' for about 24/36 hours then only felt like shit rather than needing one for another 4 days.

I just wanted to give the update nobody asked for, I stopped being sick finally at 5pm just as DD came home! I let her have McDonald’s on the sofa and watch peppa pig (whoops), whilst I festered and managed to drink a glass of water.

I cannot tell you the relief of not being sick anymore, oh my goodness. Now to pray everyone else swerves it. Thank you everyone, you got me through today 😂

glad it’s passing, but I guess you need to prepare for the worst! Lots of soapy hand washing and dettol on everything.
