Every one I’ve tried upset my stomach. Can anyone suggest a BP medication that is gentle on your stomach? I’m feeling desperate.

I started on Amlopidine but my ankles swelled. Swapped to Ramipril and got the cough. Been on Candesartan for two years with absolutely no problems. GP said there are loads of ones to try.

So basically I need to see a pharmacist and not a GP to discuss whether I should be prescribed medication in future? Crazy.

No, you see your GP to discuss whether you should be prescribed medication. You speak to a pharmacist if you're concerned about side effects or drug interactions.

Pharmacists are super knowledgeable,I'm surprised you are surprised at this.

They don't prescribe though. There's no point going to a GP when they don't understand drug interactions or the effect on the body.

I was tried on loads of these drugs (beta blockers etc.) for my heart rhythm problem and felt as though life was not worth living - giddiness, lassitude, weakness - I was just a zombie.

They are dreadful drugs.

Thankfully they found a surgical solution plus pacemaker. I simply could not have gone on on the4se drugs.
