Just as the thread title says really - have always seen people sitting in the sauna and steam room at the gym, and wondered whether it would be a good thing to do.
Are their any benefits to it, do you do it, does it make you feel better afterwards, is there any reaon not to do it?

Thanks in advance

well I love them, your best bet would be to just try it and see.

They make you sweat a lot, which is good for you, cleans out your pores, makes you loose excess water, makes you feel great.

Not sure abou treasons not to do it, have you tried doing a google search? You might get what you're looking for that way quicker.

I love them both. I think steam is easier at first, as it is a wet heat, so to speak. The main thing is to try them both gradually, just a few minutes at a time, and to drink lots of water. You will want a towel to sit on, particulary in the sauna, or you will get a hot bottom!

I don't particularly like the sauna, but I do like the steam room.

The dry heat of the sauna affects my breathing.
