Steroid causing sunburn?

I sat outside today, it’s been pretty muggy so I didn’t realise I was in direct heat. After about 5 min my arms were hot so I moved under cover.
my arms have gone very red and blotchy and hot to touch.
This never happens to me so I’m wondering why. I had a steroid injection in my back a few days ago, could that have caused sun sensitivity? Or I started hrt a few months ago ths ago, could it be that? TIA

Steroid injections can make you more susceptible to sunburn, I am surprised your doctor didn’t bother telling you. Definitely use an SPF.

Thanks no they mentioned headaches, flushed skin but not sun sensitivity. I wear lotion for prolonged time in the sun but I never normally burn either way. I will be extra careful on holiday.

I burned within minutes in the 2020 heat when I was taking a very high dose of steroids. I only found out through the NHS website that steroids make you more susceptible to sun.
