Can anyone recommend some that don’t cost a fortune and/or don’t have to be disposed of a month after opening please?

Carmellose Generic from eBay £2-3

I have prescription eye drops for Glaucoma and safely ignore the 28 days
its for hygiene and if you touch your eyes with clean hands then you’re safe to ignore.‘I wore CL for 30 years and they used to make “ comfort drops” but they’re all suitable it’s just marketing

I googled and it says some brands say to take CLs out to use, which isn’t very practical, but I will take a look. Thanks

@uncomfortablydumb60 thanks, I have been using ones for more than a month too but was a bit concerned I shouldn’t so it’s reassuring to know it will be fine.

Cellusan. I have a dry eye condition and use these as part of my management. They are compatible with contact lenses. I use it 8 times a day and a bottle will last me a month.

i don’t dispose after a month if it’s not empty!

You’re welcome Reading all the instructions/ side effects Is enough to stop using something at all”
There are some single use vials without preservatives even boots sell those but probably more expensive but you definitely would just drop into your eyes

I second Hycosan.

I’ve used hycosan which was ok. Though I find all eye drops with CLs only give short relief then the eyes are much gunkier and still uncomfortable. I have to wear them a lot less now, and do hot compresses at night to avoid blocked tear ducts which does help.
