dizziness and susceptibility to heat exhaustion

Hi,

I wondered if anybody might know what would make a teen boy (15) prone to dizzinessn and heat exhaustion?

It started when he had norovirus at the end of last year and we can't seem to sort it out.

Twice in a fortnight he's been out in the sun for a couple of hours and then had diarrhoea for a day or two afterwards.

Looking at google maps when I scroll causes dizzness/nausea.

He takes a vitamin supplement but it's not vitamins and minerals, just vitamins.

Diet is also a bit low in potassium. (no wheat, no dairy), just moved to a coeliac diet.

I wondered if this might be lack of having the broad spectrum mineral supplement or just lack of electrolytes and water.

Thanks!

Probably just not drinking enough, but people can be just prone to heat exhaustion .

15 is a classic age for migraines. Vestibular, silent, with aura, all of them².

The heat could totally be a trigger.

Worth considering.

Poor lad. Sounds rough

Does he wear a cap? How hot has it been when you are?

It happens when it's about 32C and he is out in the sun for more than 2 hours.

The first time it was when we went to the local bowling green. It was too hot for me and I went in the shade after 45 minutes, but he stayed out for 2 hours.

The next time was a day when he sat in the garden in the heat for 2 hours. He was in shade but it was very hot.

Both times I did suggest that it was unwise, but he is 15 and it testing out where the boundaries are. I suppose it's good to learn these things while he's still at home, now I think about it.

The problem with the scrolling is unconnected to heat.
