Anyone else affected by the extremely hot weather

I feel very faint and tired, no interest in food which is unusual for me. Possibly because it's almost impossible to sleep. Also a slight stomach upset. I remember years ago when we had a very hot summer and I had a toddler I became quite poorly. Was told by the village pharmacist that it was due to lack of salt and gave me some tablets.

I'm sure things have moved on and wondering if anyone has any tips that made them feel less tired, hot and miserable! Drinking as much water as I can manage.

Thank goodness the forecast tomorrow is likely to be 10 degrees lower than today. Can't wait. Will be very careful what I wish for in the future!

You know, those things called hot water bottles? You can fill one with cold water and ice. Or you can put ice packs in your bed. I haven't had any difficulty falling asleep in this heat.Because of those things
One ice pack by my feet. One under my back and one on my torso

I genuinely have no idea why people don't think of these things. Hot water bottles, a widespread, and they work in reverse. If he filled them with cold and ice.

I'm off my food as well. It's just too hot.

@bananaskin123 sorry you're not feeling well

I think you can make a rehydration solution yourself with a bit of salt and maybe sugar. I don't know - Google it. It will make you feel better than just water.

I live in a crazy hot flat, so I've been taking rehydration sachets for a few days now. It's better to try and stop that ill feeling before it kicks in.

I had to give one to my mum the other day and she perked up within half an hour. She had been feeling a bit nauseous and telling me she wasn't going to eat her dinner. But she perked up and did manage to eat something.

The chemist sells hydration tablets quite cheap.

Open the loft hatch to let cold air in - or hot air up!

Sheets in the freezer.

Try milkshakes if you don’t fancy food.

Im not in the UK and it’s cold here!

And your village pharmacist was right then and the same advice carries now

You have no interest in food and drinking lots of water - you need an electrolyte powder or tablet to replace what you are flushing through

Thanks for all your helpful tips. Thank goodness its cooled down now. Saw the pharmacist and she suggested Diorolyte powders. She also said Lucazade with the blue top contains the same ingredients but not to take the two together, either/or.. A couple of friends on our Whatsapp group have also had symptoms too.
