It’s only on the one hand but it’s uncomfortable and itchy. Just doing anything with my hand is making is sore and red around the area.

No pharmacies open nearby until tomorrow morning so wondering what I can put on it to ease it 😢

Anyone know what this is or what I can put on it?

Been to pharmacy today they said they didn’t know what it was but that they would give me a referral letter for GP as it looks infected….

Went to gp the receptionist said they had no appts for today but that they could give me one for tomorrow morning. Suggested I try minor injuries for today….

Tried them and they had no idea what it is either. Said a gp needs to look at it and that they are nurse led so can’t diagnose what it is. The one nurse said she could pop them with a sterile needle but didn’t want to risk it incase she makes it worse, not knowing what it is.

So basically no better off today and still in pain. They said my temp was up a little 37.4 so if it gets any worse throughout today/tonight go to a&e.

I can’t even drive with it being on my left hand as can’t operate the gearstick properly 😩

That definitely looks more like some sort of burn than pompholyx. Looks very sore. Poor you. Hopefully you are ok to hold on for the GP appt in morning, but if you start to feel any more poorly then don’t hesitate to go to A&E tonight. Hope you get some answers tomorrow! Do report back if you feel up to it!

Thank you it did start off with tiny minuscule blisters and I dunno whether I’ve accidentally scratched it in my sleep or something. Definitely haven’t burnt it. I’ll post a pic of how it was Saturday before it got worse and you can see the tiny blisters there

Sorry OP, but it looks like an A&E job to me. Anything that big and on your hand needs to be seen urgently as an infection could have disastrous consequences.

Pompholyx?

That's what I think too.

Really 😢 the nurse said it should be ok until tomorrow. I’m not sure how I’d get to a&e tonight husband is in bed for work at 5am and we’ve got 3 kids x

I had something very similar a few years ago. Went to the pharmacist who thought it might be shingles. I really didn't. I bought some hydrocortisone cream that seemed to help and it calmed down in a few days. Main difference with my rash was that the blisters didn't join together. Hope you get it sorted soon.

The blisters are definitely getting bigger and more angry looking….i suspect they are going to burst from the pressure soon, which might bring you some relief.

If it were me I would be tempted to puncture it with a sterile needle to drain whatever is in there and release the pressure, but I can understand why the nurse said not to.

PP is correct that something on your hand does need seen fairly quickly.

Yes I saw that before and agree the tiny blisters surrounding do lol pompholyx, your second pic less so. They are large blisters - I have it fairly severely and don’t have blisters anywhere near that big, but have just had a google and the blisters can be larger - albeit the images online are of extremely severe pompholyx. Anyhow hope you get to the bottom of it and get some relief. Unfortunately my pompholyx does not respond to steroids so am waiting on a derm referral for further treatment, which is why it’s so bad but I understand this is unusual and steroids when they work usually do do quite quickly, so hopefully you’ll get some relief v soon.

This is what they’ve said they think it is 🤷‍♀️ prescribed some steroid cream to try

Anyone know what this is or what I can put on it?
