Any dentists able to tell me if Covid could cause this?

I used to work in dentistry but I quit about 12 months before Covid hit.
My first baby was a Covid lockdown baby. So we never really went anywhere and we never got Covid, great stuff.

My second baby, we did catch Covid in the hospital while having him/during recovery. Hes 3 now and I was brushing his teeth this morning and noticed he’s got hypomineralization on his molars; I’m wondering if maybe Covid caused this? I was told enamel issues can be a result of either mother or baby being poorly during pregnancy, but I never was and as far as I know he was a healthy baby; the only thing I can think of is whether he caught Covid from us and that’s what’s caused it.

Obviously this is just out of pure interest and I’m not concerned in any way other than the higher risk of cavities ect. But that’s manageable for us.

but really I’d love to hear if this has been seen/linked to Covid at all from someone with experience 🤓

My DS has this, looooong before COVID was a thing.

Teeth are already developed in the jaw before birth - it's incredibly unlikely that this was caused by COVID at any time.

Covid is not the reason for everything. I am sure there were babies with that issue before covid too...

My youngest had damage to the enamel on one of his teeth, most likely because he had chickenpox when he was 3 months old.
