Lump in the inside inner part of wrist

Have you ever seen or had that? It doesn't really move, it seems hard. It used to be smaller months and months ago and apparently it grew bigger after I carried some heavy bags. I am not sure though, that's when I noticed it was bigger. I went to a specialist today and he got me scared by saying that it doesn't look like a sinovial cyst because of the position and referred me to a contrast MRI. I am thinking dark thoughts... 😪😪😪 I tried to add as many photos as possible, I am not sure it is very visible.

The thought of bashing mine with anything makes me come over all funny... It can look a bit odd but it's not bothering me so I shall just leave it alone for now!

Not half as much as it did my hand consultant when mine was first scheduled for removal aged and my mother said she'd just whack it with my Collins dictionary once they'd confirmed it was a ganglion in the upper middle of my wrist. In amongst the spluttering of 'Good God', the phrase 'I do not propose to spend nine hours rebuilding her hand as a result of such medieval barbarity' came out pretty clearly.

In the case of my giant cell tumour, I was told that they were 99% certain that that was what it was after the scan that I was given. However, they agreed to remove it because it was making movement difficult and it wasn't going to stop growing.

Honestly, @Raluca I did not feel a thing when they removed mine.

At first, I was told that it was going to be done under GA, but once the surgeon had a look at the scan in detail he realised that he didn't need me to be knocked out to get at it properly. (It was done during Covid, so they wanted me out of the hospital as soon as possible.)

I give you my solemn promise that my procedure was completely painless.

ETA Also, if they're worried that you can't stay still for long enough, they do knock you out.

Edited

I had my MRI today and the technician said it looks like a lipoma. I am waiting for the report in 10 days, the specialist will review the images. This needs to be removed anyway because they tend to grow. Thank God it's nothing serious!

Thank you😍. I did the MRI today, results are out in 7 days but at first glance it appears to be a lipoma. So it needs to be taken out at some point, these tend to grow.
