Hi got a colposcopy tomorrow morning. Can’t say I’m looking forward to it. Iv had 4 painful operations the past 20 months so I thought this would be a walk in the park.
just a question. Do I get the results on the day of the procedure if he sees anything. I know if I need a biopsy it takes a few weeks for results. Also got a transvaginal scan on Thursday. I think I had one of those in early pregnant years and years ago

Hi. I had a colposcopy where they found thickened vaginal walls and fibroids and was told at the time - so presume whoever carries it out will give you some sort of answer ie biopsy needed or that there’s something visualised that may require further investigation. Good luck. Am sure all will be fine.

appointment went fine today. So nervous going in, I started crying with nerves as soon as I went into the consultation room with the gynaecologist. He was lovely and put me at ease. He took some details . I told him I’d had a full body ct scan at the end of January and tumor marker bloods in April. Which he thought was reassuring.
The procedure itself was fine. The spectrum thing hurt a lot. He said everything was fine except a small rough bit which was bleeding. So he took a biopsy. Never felt a thing. No anaesthesia.
He thinks it’s menopause or scar tissue from my ovary removal. Got an untrasound appointment on Thursday, which was made weeks ago. So fingers crossed xx

Hi OP, I've had 3 of these, each time they gave me their opinion, for example from what I can see it looks nothing to be concerned about but the biopsies will confirm this etc

Well done you. Sounds reassuring and that you are having good care. Will keep fingers crossed for a nice normal biopsy and ultrasound.
