My periods have been different for the past 6 months any advice?

For the past 6 months i have been spotting for about 2/3 days before my period starts, which have become lighter. I have also been suffering from diahorrea (sp) for the day before and first day of my period.

Googling this i've scared myself silly! these say these can be a sign of endometriosis (sp) and/or cancer of the uterus although constipation seems to be more common than diahorrea.

Can anyone reassure me?

I guess i should go see the gp and talk about it but just wanted to check i'm not just over reacting.

I have endo, and I get those symptoms, but you need not be terrified of it.....yes it can be horrid, but it can also be easily treatable and helped.

I also, since my children for certain, and maybe before but don;t actually know, have a tilted uterus.....makes for your uterus 'resting' on your bowel and during a period can trigger diarrhoea.......unpleasant, but again, no reason to panic.

go to the docs.....the sooner endo is spotted and confirmed, the better it will be treatable.

don;t leave it 3yrs like I did convinced you were on the verge of dying during each period and too terrified to do anyhting.....I wasted three years in pain!

spotting can be a symptom of stress.

Also, it just changes over time -- mine used to be bang on 30 days, for 4 days, now it's 28 days and longer.

But get down to the GP to reassure yourself.

thanks for that, will book a GP appointment

thats useful to know, i can use a mooncup though, although have had to remove all of the stem bit and then i can still feel it.

maybe thats my problem, the tilted uterus thingy, although had 2 vaginal deliveries with no problems, although 2nd degree tears both times.

I have a tilted wonb and know what you mean about the dicky tummy around periods. I always get this at the beginning of my period and the pains I get at that time of the month are always in the back.
