Does this sound like under active thyroid?

The hair on my legs and armpits has fallen out. I'm aching all over, have put on a lot of weight and am very fatigued.

I've had blood tests done but I don't think it showed anything.

What were the actual results and what do they test?

Those are pretty normal - did they test for b12 folate, vit D, ferritin? If not I'd ask for those to be done first and possible a full auto immune panel.

Your thyroid results looks normal.
How old are you? Could it be menopause related? Symptoms would match.

Yes they did all those and I have an autoimmune disorder.

I'm 52. Does body hair fall out with menopause? I'm barely functioning right now.

Yes it does, hardly have to shave underarms these days but don't ask me why you then get chin hairs appearing😳

Yes, in fact my leg hairs fell out ahead of anything showing up in tests and even before the fatigue. Your results do show an upward trend towards hypothyroidism but it's very early. TSH should be around 1.0, FT4 needs to be around 3/4 through its range (so around 20 rather than down at 15). You really need to see FT3 (the active thyroid hormone) level as well as having TPO and TG antibodies tested, to see if either or both are becoming elevated. Thyroid disease develops slowly and looking back I can see where it began although I had no inkling at the time.

Sjogrens

Ah OK, well that means you are more likely to get another autoimmune disease, unfortunately, as they tend to 'hunt together'. I would definitely get more detailed thyroid testing if I were you.

I'm aware that I'm more prone to other autoimmune conditions which is why I posted. I think I'm going to pursue the menopausal route as well because I had no idea body hair loss was one of the symptoms.
