Grumbling Gallbladder

I've been having a hot burning uncomfortable feeling below my right ribs for weeks now. Often I have to really straighten my posture to help ease it as sitting can make it more uncomfortable. I'm now getting sharp twinge pains in my right side and into my back. A hot water bottle does help ease it a bit but thr pain never goes away.

Does this sound like gallbladder symptoms?
I'm waiting to get bloods done, then they said they may refer me for an ultrasound of my gallbladder and liver.

Yes it does but bloods won't show anything for gallbladder issues, you need an ultrasound.

Does the discomfort coincide with particular foods or anything?

A bit off topic @Retta1809 but when I had gallbladder attacks Buscopan helped with the pain.

@Caerulea doesn't always get worse with foods, well not that ive noticed, it just seems to be there for long periods of time, sometimes it's very sore and uncomfortable and other times not as bad.

Bloods might show raised liver results which is indicative of gallstones, but will need ultrasound to be definitive. It’s not the same as my experience with gallstones but it can vary. Mine is very episodic, usually triggered by certain foods, and intense pain. If it’s constant, I would consider something like GERD or gastritis or something as well. Try eat a low-fat diet for a week and see if it alleviates anything.

All of this, they're are so many things it can be that cause discomfort there (for me, it was gallstones & truly fucked gallbladder). Fwiw - I had gallbladder out last week, full of stones, shrunken & scarred & there was not even a peep out of my liver in all the blood tests I've had.

I've had bloods taken to look for inflammation markers and once results are back they'll refer me for an ultrasound.
