Post op unpleasantness

I had a hip replacement 2 weeks ago for undiagnosed hip dysplasia, it wasn't picked up at birth and I ended up in a right mess too young for this type of op.
I was in for two days and taking a ton of painkillers as the op was bigger than they thought so I was on oxycodone, cocodamol and tramadol. I only took oxycodone for two days.
I took cocodamol and tramadol for one week post op and then stopped taking it because I didn't have any more pain and was walking without my crutches. I heal really quick as a rule.
But for a week now I've had night sweats, head "shocks" diarrhoea and other horrible withdrawal symptoms. The wound is healed and there is no pain or infection.
Surely I can't have opioid withdrawal symptoms this badly after only taking them for such a short time? It's just going on and on. When will it stop?

You absolutely can have withdrawals that quickly. I took tramadol for about a week for wrist surgery and honestly felt like I was dying. It lasted a few days

Wow that's awful. They must do awful damage long term.

Don't forget that you probably also had fentanyl or morphine as part of your anaesthetic (whether general or spinal). Plus other heavy duty drugs.

Aside from anything else after a heavy hit of 4 opioids over 9 days, it would always have messed up your bowel and taken time for that to return to normal afterwards. (If you'd taken strong doses of Imodium for over a week, you'd expect to have bowel problems after that.)

Tramadol in particular is synthetic and is known for having unpredictable effects on people.

What other side effects are you getting? They could possibly be your body healing from the surgery. Whilst the pain has ceased and the external wound is healed, internally you took more of a beating than is visible externally and you will still have healing to do of your ligaments etc. It can take longer than people expect to feel back to normal after surgery.

Depending on what they are it may be worth checking in with your GP.

I’m post op with diarrhoea and night sweats, no tramadol or oxy, they said it’s normal

Its possibly a combination of everything then. I'll just have to be patient. I had the surgery under epidural. I've had lots of operations and this is the only one that's made me feel this bad.
