I literally feel like I have no one to talk to, I’m so worried about my moles having one removed next week and I have multiple abnormal looking ones, I have a large one with different shades in it, dermatologist said she’s not worried but I can’t stop worrying, does anyone have strange looking moles and there fine with different colours here’s a pic

Focus on what your dermatologist said, believe me they know what they're doing.

I’m covered in moles. I get them checked regularly using a service I get through work. I spotted my mum’s cancerous mole as I’ve read so much literature on them!

yours doesn’t look suspicious at all. If your dermatologist isn’t worried, you should be either ☺️

also, my dermatologist told me that most skin cancers manifest themselves as new moles, it’s very unusual (apparently) to have an old mole turn cancerous.

Do any of you moles look strange hun, have you got a pic of the strangest one you’ve got but it’s turned out to be ok

That looks like a normal mole to me 🤔

I have seen dermatology for moles so not just a random comment from someone that knows nothing. I had one removed that was larger and different colours and it was fine

Cynic17 · 23/05/2025 06:35

I've had loads of moles for decades. It's completely normal, and I never think about them.
But, OP, yours have been checked so if there was anything wrong, it would be dealt with. End of story. Either way, no worries.

I had a very dodgy looking one removed in January that started growing rapidly like a wee mushroom, was different shades and the borders obviously weren't the same as it was growing out the way. Straight away they said "not concerned about it" and they were correct. The Dermatologists know what does and doesn't look okay, I'd take her at her word.
