I have very weak pelvic floor muscles and a moderate prolapse but I am continent. You don't necesaarily have to be incontinent with weak pelvic floor muscles.

The muscualr wall of your vagina will also be slightly more lax if you have had vaginal births, wjhen you sit, walk, etc air enters and the fanny fart results.

I have a severe prolapse and I'm fully continent like mehgalegs. I also don't fanny fart in public, so I hope to re-assure you that they are seperate issues and it doesn't mean you will prolapse. You would KNOW if you had a prolapse too. Sorry to hear about whats happening, it sounds horrific. Good luck

It's not enough to say you are too embarrassed to go to the GP. You are (presumably) an adult, (presumably) have given birth. What is the problem? How bad can it really be?

On a similar thread recently elsewhere a doctor said she had only ever been shocked once. That was when she found a half eaten sandwich stuck under an obese woman's breast. Now that is embarrassing. Fanjo farting is a mere bagatelle by comparison ...

And yes, OP, I have had to go to doctors about worse. I have had innumerable fingers rammed up my arse and would be dead soon if I hadn't.

i am being stern

if you have given birth, and had vaginal exmainations, then this won;t be any more embarassing, if you have had a smear test , then ditto

like thingone, i have had to go to docs for far worse, changed GP surgery, new doc, first meeting, mentioned i had some bowel issues, next thing she is whipping out the gloves and KY and my bottom is in hte hot seat, as it were!

you must go and discuss this, there is every chance the doc won;t even look at your foofoo!

A pelvic floor physio should be able to sort this - a friend of mine who does this for a living says the machines aren't much use.

It's really worth seeing someone, but if you want to try to fix it yourself first, there's plenty of info on pelvic floor exercises online, tbh.
