Can Anyone Help With Worrying Blood Test Results??

Apologies if this ends up being long, will try fitting it all in as succinctly as possible. I've been back and forth at the doctor's for the past year for a variety of symptoms which were found to be from an overactive thyroid. However, my thyroid levels have gone back to normal but I was still experiencing all the symptoms. Eg: severe fatigue, achy muscles and joints, palpitations, unintentional weight loss, just a constant feeling of being completely drained all the time. So I had a full blood work up done and the results seem worrying to me, though I haven't got an appointment to discuss with the doctor til the 28th so wanted to see if anyone had any ideas about how much I should be worried. I've been prescribed folic acid already because it showed low folate. My vitamin d was insufficient, my ferritin is at the lowest end of normal range, my calcium was way too low, the protein igm level is way too high as is my b12. So how worried should I be about these kinds of results? I'm also on an inhaler for possible COPD which I'm having tests for and propanol for the palpitations. I'd really appreciate any help and advice anyone can give😊 TIA

I tend to read my bloods test results as parameters are often too wide even if they say normal! I google other ranges with scotland etc. I lost a lot of symptoms when i had vitamin b12 injections, i take folate cos it was bit low, heme iron and my irons going up, potassium as that was bit low etc. worth mentioning mine i think are caused by peri menopause despite being on hrt everything available x

Ask for your blood test results including ranges. I am overactive with Graves' disease and pernicious anemia. I feel rubbish pretty much most of the time but you do get used to it and keep going. I am medicated and learnt to read my own blood tests.

Sounds like you might have autoimmune hypoparathyroidism. Have a look at the symptoms and see if it sounds possible…it also might be driving the arrthymias and the lung issues.

Or both your thyroid gland and your parathyroid gland decided to go on holiday together! Have you ever had surgery on the front of your neck, or taken a blow to the front of your neck?

@SeaToSki thanks for the reply. No I've never had an operation on my neck. Though I have had blows to the neck from an abusive ex. It's just weird because they said my thyroid results had gone back to normal 🤷 will definitely look up parathyroidism

@SuWo I'm 38 and had a baby 2.5 years ago but have definitely wondered about peri because one of the reasons I went to the doctor in the first place was because my periods have gone ridiculously heavy and all over the place. I'm on folic acid for the low folate but the b12 is actually too high so I'm not sure what to make of that🤷
