Urine Dip Test - do I need to contact GP?

I have just done this urine dip test on my adult disabled daughter as she is non verbal, so I have to keep on top of her health.

Anyway, these are the results that came back. Do the elevated levels indicate anything untoward? I’m not sure whether it’s something that needs to be referred to the GP.

She’s pretty dehydrated. Is she eating/drinking enough?

Respectfully, if you don’t know how to interpret, why are you doing this? You need to contact the Gp or 111 for professional advice.

I have to keep monitoring for UTIs and just wanted advice on the levels. I didn’t want to bother the GP unless needed.

Who has asked you to monitor? That’s the person you should be contacting for interpretation.

No one asked me to but I do it because she is non verbal and she won’t tell me if she is in pain or has symptoms and she is prone to UTIs. If I don’t monitor, she could get very unwell.

The problem is, they're all meant to be read at different times, 30 seconds to 2 minutes. So off one photograph taken at an unknown time, none of us can give you an accurate answer I'm afraid.

well how can you monitor if you don’t know what you are doing? she has protein and glucose in her urine. call the doctor

I know, it’s difficult. I’ve spoken to the GP since I posted this so I have to take a sample down on Monday.

I know the indicators for a possible UTI but I didn’t know what the others meant that were also raised, such as ketones etc

ketones means she’s possibly in ketosis so is burning fat rather than food that

is she unwell and not drinking and eating enough? it’s best just to make an appointment

I’m taking a urine sample down on Monday but she’s not unwell in herself. She’s been eating and drinking fine.
