Breast boil - now feels like a lump

A few months ago I developed either a really bad spot or boil on each breast. On the same area on each, totally out of the blue, never had one before or since.

Both were painful, looked exactly like images of breast boils from Google and eventually burst - it was a fun time! 🤮😂

One on the left cleared up and you would never know it was there. The one on the right appeared to be healing then randomly seemed to fill up again, then burst again on 2 more occasions. It has left a bit of a mark on the skin but the skin has now closed over and does appear to be healing although you can still see exactly where it was.

Directly under it there now feels like a tiny like much smaller than even a pea lump. I’ve read that boils/abscesses can leave a bit of a lump due to the puss sack. I’ll try to get a doc appointment next week but wondering if anyone has had similar.

Obv I’m worried about cancer but it does seem like a coincidence that it was directly under the mark where the boil was.

I had this pea lump. Fast track cancer unit mammogram, ultrasound, two biopsies. It was dead scar tissue. Fatty necrosis he called it. Can happen as the result of infection or injury.

I'd had two infections previously.

Oh thanks for this, it sounds like it could definitely be a possibility. It sounds very similar.

I’ve unexpectedly taken my period today early, I now wonder if the recurrences are linked to my cycle! 🤔

I have had this three times, always a boil, always got a GP appointment within two days, once in 2020 within the day. They won't mess about.
Mine were always under my underwire so now if it's a bit red and painful I put a plaster over it to prevent chafing.
