Back/side of neck more prominent than other side

Hi
So i was feeling ny neck and noticed at the back /side of my neck on the left side its more prominet and fuller than the right side...
I think its the muscle and when i went to the docters she couldnt feel anything worrying and no lymph nodes were up said its my muscle in neck
Ive then gone shraight to neck cancer...
Is anyone else neck musculer one side to the other at the back-side not front

Gentle question - do you suffer from health anxiety? Your GP has no concerns, and I don't think anything anyone says here will reassure you properly. Just remember that human bodies aren't symmetrical.

A lot of people on here do, but the main reason they are posting is because they have health anxiety. So it isn't exactly a representative sample of the population as a whole. People who don't have health anxiety tend not to post about it.

You are clearly really concerned, so you need to talk to a HCP about it. Tell them how worried you are and that you are scared of what you think it might be.

From knowing someone who has had neck cancer trust me it does not present as a larger muscle, lymph nodes are nodules that are easy to feel when something is wrong with them it's not the whole muscle/side that is enlarged
