Xylitol for dental health, an update.

I posted about using Xylitol for my dental health at the end of December, it was just an add on to my already established cleaning regime.
Fast forward to April 22nd when I had an appointment with my periodontist and a hygienist (though not the usual one) in the same practice.
I was upfront about using it to both practitioners, neither of them had much to say about it, or particularly noticed a difference, so I'm on the fence about continuing to use it now.

One tooth where I had a deep pocket, which I normally needed numbing before cleaning this time didn't need numbing. My mouth feels more moist, less dry so I like to think it's making a difference and therefore I'm going to continue using it for the time being as it's very easy to use.

Some people swear by it's use to improve dental health, it's still too early for me to say it's a game changer.
Any thoughts?

I should add that I've been under this periodontist since April 2002, literally 23 years.
When I asked my periodontist how he'd sum up my journey over those years his one word reply was........ "excellent."
I'm proud of myself for sticking to everything I've been asked to do, my gum disease is stable and Xylitol is as I've said just an add on.

How do you use it? I've been wondering about trying it, I have EDS and rubbish teeth that seem to be v cavity prone

I’ve been taking xylitol as part of Dr Ellie’s protocol for about 3 months. My teeth are by no means perfect but I’m hoping it will halt/has halted any further deterioration.

I bought the granulated version.
I take a spoonful after lunch and at teatime, let it melt very slowly in my mouth and move it around using my tongue.
