Persistent headaches & nausea

Hi,

Just a message to see if anyone has experienced similar or has any ideas as to next steps.
My FIL (73) has for several months complained of persistent nausea (similar to motion sickness) and headaches. The GP has been engaged and responsive, and so far an endoscopy, head CT & bloods have not revealed anything alarming.
Whilst this is obviously a relief, he’s still not able to establish a cause.
I’m guessing the next steps may be to look at diet (intolerances), and maybe ears to rule out vertigo.
But I just wondered if anyone else could suggest something we’ve not thought of yet?
He’s gone from being fit, active and regularly golfing to pretty much housebound, and very low in spirits due to feeling so awful.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this and diet and intolerances or deficiencies of vitamins etc is what I was going to suggest so good you’re looking into this. Could there also be a mental health aspect playing a part? Is there anything going on anxiety/worry wise that could be contributing? Also is he drinking enough day to day as well as eating well, wish you all the best

Has he had his eyes tested? Opticians are often able to pick up things that are wrong, more than GPs

@KoalaPineapplewhat a lovely reply, thank you 🙏.
I do think anxiety is a contributing factor, he was worried about the endoscopy & CT, but he had the symptoms before the procedures were scheduled. Thanks again 💐
