So the last few days I have been peeing more than usual and put it down to me drinking squash or diluting juice as I like to call it lol

I also have Diabetes which to be honest I haven’t been focused on lately which is stupid I know. I just did a glucose check and it’s 19.8mmol which isn’t great. I wonder if this is causing my frequency symptom.

Any Diabetics have any idea.

Just called the doctors they want to see me just now so hopefully we can work out a plan. I am so angry at myself it’s totally my fault.

Did they check your ketones?

don’t be angry, you’re not the first and definitely won’t be the last to neglect their diabetes. Shit happens.
whats important now is that you make the changes you need to make good healthy decisions.

I had a good chat with the Diabetic nurse and we are going to start as if was the beginning. She did all the blood work and urine check and will see what that shows and signed me up to mydiabetes also advised me about diet. She is also arranging for a retinography check just to make sure it’s not affecting anything there.

Also had a chat about Statins. My cholesterol for a while has been up a bit but not majorly but they wanted to put me on Statins but I was very hesitant as I had read that they can lead to dementia and as my dad has Alzheimer’s I was very wary.

With a blood glucose of 19, they will probably test you for type 1 diabetes, in case you have the late onset form that Theresa May has. Best wishes, you really do need to get in touch with your GP as soon as possible.

High cholesterol is also linked to Alzheimer’s op. This meta analysis seems to indicate that statin use is linked to a reduction in dementia and Alzheimer’s…..

I have reports that in case reduce the chances and in others that say it increases the chances. It’s so hard to know what to believe.

This isn't correct. Reputable research points more to a reduction in the risk of dementia - the Alzheimer Society's own study concluded this. What sources are claiming that statins increase the risk of dementia?
