Hand hold please- breast lump discovered

I found a pea sized lump on the underside of my breast a few days ago.

I've never felt anything like it before. I've had 'lumpy' boobs at certain times of the month and little spots on nipples etc but this is hard and unmoving and feels attached to something deeper in the breast. It's nowhere near upper skin level. It hurts when I touch it but otherwise not.

I'm seeing GP in a couple days and presume they'll send me to a breast screening place?

Does anyone have experience of what the process is?

My mum had a very tiny lump removed a few years back but they just took it off in two minutes while I was sitting there. I think it was just a Basel cell or not cancerous. Mine seems deeper and bigger than that.

I know many women who've had BC and are perfectly healthy so I'm not scared of dying or anything.

I'm also concerned that if they had to take one breast that they'd only do a boob job on one? Making it look really unnatural.

Any advice or information greatly appreciated!

Thank you x

Having just been on the recieving end of a mastectomy. You're getting way too ahead of yourself. The likelihood is it isn't anything to worry about and even if it was cancerous as its pea sized it's early and unlikely to involve a mastectomy
