Swimming pool irritation

So I've recently had a double hip replacement and I've joined a gym with a pool to try and look after myself and gain strength in the muscles. It's a big commitment and associated cost but I feel it's time to take my well being seriously. However, although I'm loving the swimming and jacuzzi, I'm coming out in a bit of a rash in the places where I would normally sweat/rub (under arms, behind knees etc) and it suddenly dawned on me that this happens when I go on holiday and I'm in the pool daily. I'm gutted as it means I'm going to have to take regular breaks from swimming - does anyone have any pearls of wisdom on how to prevent this? I normally use sudocream/calomine/talc but it would be fab if there is a prevention. I'm not as bad abroad as pools tend to be salt water rather than chlorine.

Are you washing the chlorine off immediately after your swim?

my oh and I are swimmers and he gets bad patches of dry skin due to the chlorine

we use this and it’s transformed his skin!
Aquaguard swim mousse body wash

AQUA GUARD After-Swim Wet Skin... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BQXBHKDX?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

oh and hair - Paul Mitchell 3 or Mane and Tail will make sure your hair doesn’t get crunchy with the chlorine

chlorine is REALLY nasty stuff. Make sure to wash it off every part of you and moisturise well.

Thank you so much! I'll look to ordering these!

The rash it gives is really unpleasant - itchy, sore and even worse in warm weather SadSmile
