OMG!
You poor thing - you must be in agony.

(On the plus side, you could probably claim that the eardrum perforation was a piece of performance art, and apply for an Arts Council grant)

How long will your ear take to heal?

CountessDracula · 14/05/2008 18:49

They said 4 - 6 weeks no flying no swimming

And if it doesn't heal could be an op

Have you let the theatre know yet?
They need to sort out the sound before the next performance.

CountessDracula · 14/05/2008 18:52

Yes I called the theatre manager just now
they are going to talk to H&S and the pyrotechics people and check it out before the performance

He was very nice and apologetic

still fucked off though

You can fly, you can fly, you can fly. I burst an eardrum (almost on a par with childbirth) 1st doctor said "Oooo, no, can't fly, too painful" 2nd (week later, 4 days before had been due to fly) said "Oh life's for living, of course you can fly" I did. Burst ear didn't hurt as had it's own pressure release valve

Tinker · 14/05/2008 20:16

its not it's

cosima · 14/05/2008 20:19

tell the national theatre so they can do something about it although they do do risk assessments. Anyway you will probably get some free ticks. Write to John Langley, the Theatre Manager
