DD2's childminder's daughter has probably got it, but awaiting confirmation from doc at this stage.

CM seems to think there's no risk to my DD. What d'you lot reckon?

I'm a tad concerned (but also flat out at work)

yes it is

CocodeBear · 14/05/2008 18:16

on NHS direct it says

The Health Protection Agency advises that young children don't need to be taken out of school or nursery when they have glandular fever. This is because the infection is usually mild in young children, and the incubation period is so long that it is hard to work out the source (who it was caught from).

Isn't that odd?

Should have looked there in the first place

Thanks Iota.

Have no idea what to do. It is probably the busiest week of the year at work, but...

I reckon CM's daughter probably kisses DD quite a lot.

WE're supposed to go on hols in a week.

Would you stay at home with your kid in this situation?

My 12 yr old has recently been diagnosed with GF. She's fine some days and really floppy on others. I'm afraid she's sliding into apathy - and husband thinks she's just malingering. I'm trying to get her to do school work when she's feeling up to it, but then I find her just messing on the web if I don't watch her! Any advice?

mercibucket · 27/01/2011 13:10

I'd just let her chill out on the sofa personally. It can really wipe you out and it's better she rests up then can start back at school when she's better. can easily take a month to get back on your feet again.
