Hello I have PF and I have it nearly 2 years now. I have been seeing a PT the past 14 weeks and have shockwave therapy which has helped a little. I do all the exercises and stopped running - well jogging I stopped and I have had to reduce the km I walk. I feel so fed up with it and I have spent literally my kids college fund on runners as I can forget about wearing shoes. Has anyone had success with treating what seems Chronic PF? I have had an MRI to confirm this is what it is , although my GP now wants me to see a foot specialist and get an MRI on my back. Any tips outside of the frozen bottle, rolling, stretching etc , inserts, etc that may help. PT also noted that the drop in oestrogen at my 55 years of age isn't probably helping either . Thank you.

Along with everything else everyone has said I use a tens machine on max and shock myself. Also a hand massager and pummel myself. My pain goes up my leg and inner thigh mostly. It’s painful!

Insoles in all your shoes and never go barefoot ever. I’ve got hoka sliders I wear in the house and they make such a difference!

Mine came on around 2018 I think. Rest and calf massages plus not walking barefoot helped a lot. I had to give up my ballet flats.

I still have it if I walk over 10k steps a day for a few days but it is manageable now. I really need to be more consistent with stretching those calf muscles.

I have issues with one of my legs due to a birth defect, so they’ll never fully resolve, but I actually found that foot/ankle/calf strengthening exercises have done more for my PF than any of the insoles, stretches, massages.

Archie’s flip flops. Wore them all day long for a week or so and it went.
