Last year I was told I’d need it doing again, so had it done again and this was the result. Any ideas ? Gp stated normal but it’s right at the bottom of the range

How do you feel? The range is just that, a range but different people feel good at different levels. For my DS who has no thyroid this would be perfect as he feels good at this level. It means that so far as his pituitary concerned he has good levels of thyroid hormones in his bloodstream. Others might feel a bit jittery and hyper-thyroid at this level and prefer to keep their tsh at the middle of the range or above. If you feel good, can sleep well (not insomniac), don’t feel jumpy etc, then that’s great.

Looks like your t3 t4 levels are good so if you feel well then that’s fine. With tsh at the top of the normal range my son feels a bit slow and cold and a bit depressed or blue, and usually his t3and t4 are normal like yours, but he feels better when his t3 t4 are at the top end of the range and his tsh at the bottom.

Most of the time I feel okay, tired but I have two young children. I do have alot of anxiety and can get irritated quite easily, but again probably from stress!
One thing I’ve noticed lately is my eyes feel scratchy, quite itchy and gritty like?
I sometimes have palpitations, ulcers on my tongue, dry itchy skin

Are you hypothyroid and on medication? Your dose might be a little high if you have symptoms like feeling jittery, palpitations etc.

If you're undiagnosed/unmedicated have they tested for antibodies? Does your GP know about your symptoms?

I think they usually want to see results out of range before they do anything but I'm hypo so don't know a lot about hyperthyroidism.

Meant to ask does this result demonstrate a trend? Do you know what your results were from last year and why they asked for tests to be repeated?
