Why am I dribbling?

So I've noticed in the last couple of weeks that I seem to be producing excess saliva which is pooling in the corners of my mouth and now making them sore and cracked.

I also seem to have a permanent headache on one side of my face with pain in that cheek and ear. I had a stinker of a migraine about two weeks ago and it feels like the headache has not gone away. My eyes are also very dry.

I don't have any cold type symptoms or any sign of a sinus infection which is what Google suggests. I loathe going to my GP but think I might make an appointment.

Anyone got any ideas?

Trigeminal and occipital nerves are in that area from your neck up through to cheek, ears, jaw, eyes. Perhaps a trapped nerve? Or a TMJ issue, or wisdom teeth perhaps?

I’ve had this a tooth extraction, have you had dental work done?

I had my wisdom teeth removed about 25 years ago and never had an issue since.

Would a nerve issue cause the dribbling?

Ohh I had a thread about this. I think a couple of other people did post I’ll try and link it.

Abscess?

Thank you! Maybe I'll give the sugar a rest 😬

Honestly I was amazed, felt really stupid for going to the GP and even paid for a facial assessment. But that’s just one thing that worked for me, to be fair the GP did check things out so worth raising it. I had also very clearly introduced a bag of sweets every evening for the previous few weeks so there was a link.
