Fucking vertigo - how on earth do you get rid of it?

I've had vertigo on and off now since beginning of December. I had that horrible throat virus that everyone seems to be catching - razor blades and then loss of voice. My ears were bubbling inside (presumable Eustachian tubes). I don't bother my GP for these things but mentioned it last week when I saw her. She said it can take 3 months to disappear. I'm sick of feeling sick! Anyone have any magic cures out there?

The Epley manoeuvre is great… for BPPV. So if that’s not what is causing your vertigo then it won’t help! You need to get proper medical advice from your GP.

My GP had me try Brandt-Daroff manoeuvre which worked for me. (BPPV)

Ooh I've had the new COVID variant and got vertigo. I get it when lying down in bed, it's crazy! Will try this eply thing.

You shouldnt do the eply maneauvor if its not the right kind of vertigo, it can make it worse. Problem is GPs dont really check what sort of vertigo you have

You can take betahistine, or cinnarazarine (cant spell that)

Or try the Eply but be careful.

Having had BPV, I wouldn’t be trying the epley without knowing that what I had was BPV as I‘d be worried about dislodging the crystals if they weren’t the problem and making the problem worse. I‘ve had vertigo from BPV, vestibular migraines, mastoiditis and cervical vertigo and it mostly feels the same. I wouldn’t guess what the cause was without some input from a doctor.

I done Epley for this before, really effective and I only had to do it for a couple of days.
Edited: I had Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo. Epley worked a treat.
