Eczema or psoriasis? (pictures)

My dermatologist thinks it's psoriasis but I'm not convinced and I'm so fed up! I currently use Dermovat when I remember which is steroid based so it never completely goes away. I've tried every shampoo under the sun and nothing works, including T-Gel and Nizoral.

Any ideas how to treat it?? I've had low level radiation treatment on it which worked but it seems to have come back worse and wasn't that long after the treatment ended.

Looks like psoriasis to me. I grew out of it eventually in my 30s, but seawater was the only thing that really helped!

Dermatitis!

Not a doctor but I have psoriasis and my mum had dermatitis.

I only have myself to go on, but my scalp psoriasis doesn't look like that. It's lumpier and more like flat plaques. It only flakes if I scratch it. When it spreads out of my hairline it's clearly red and angry looking.

I'm 44 so won't be growing out of it any time soon 😩

Be careful what you wish for, my scalp psoriasis went away, then came back as arthritis, then came back as more psoriasis in various places.

I used to use Alphosyl which mostly worked but they have stopped making it, the pharmacy found me something similar though. A quick trip to the bathroom tells me it is Capasal.

The trick is to not think of it as shampoo but as a scalp cleaner, make sure you rub it in to your scalp. I don't mean to be patronising if you already do this.

My psoriasis is as @mrsmalaprop describes (except mine was pustular - that was rough), but it used to be like yours.
