Friend having an op

My lovely friend is due to have an operation on her back soon. Her husband is mostly unreliable but that's a different story. I'd like to get her a happiness package just for her to feel less alone, and loved.
Maybe some chocolates and nice vitamin drinks ? No books ,
Or flowers- things she may actually feel she can use.

How about a candle, face masks, nice hand cream and a pillow spray.

This is such a lovely thing to do for your friend xx

Thibgs I've found useful after ops are like pp mentioned. A massive drinks bottle and thermal cup. Dry shampoo and cosy blanket

Thank you. I guess any gesture is better than nothing. Was trying to think about what I'd like if I was in the situation.
Is a meal cooked and delivered over stepping the mark?

It would be greatly appreciated by me. My mum made me a few and brought them round as I couldn't chop anything and was missing home made meals.

A meal would be the best gift IMO. Nutritious and saves effort and headspace. Something like cottage pie or lasagne preferably! And some posh chocolate biscuits.

I hate anything smelly so dislike candles, creams etc. but you know your friend.
