I thought it was so it wouod stick to the verucca and then eventually pull it out?

My dad says they used to soak their feet in very hot water then apply duct tape and keep doing this until the verucca pulled out. Yuk!

Apparently there was a thing on the radio about painting nail polish over them, which sounds similar.

At least you can choose nail polish to match your outfit.

Or you could try the banana peel trick.

you leave it on for a week (replace if it drops off)
then on friday nights you take off the tape, soak foot, file off any dead bits of verruca and replace tape.

takes a month

Just go and pay to get them frozen out and have done with it

it is certainly cheaper than the shares I have bought in Bazooka gel, to no avail

I gave up with duct tape for my verrucas, I couldn't get it to stay on. In the end I went for the "traditional" method and bazooka-ed them. Took dedication and 12 weeks but it worked!

x-posts capp - mine was over 15 years old (in my defence I was told to leave it alone and it would go of its own accord ). With the bazooka stuff you really have to do it every night, if you forget then it does grow again quite rapidly. It's a pain but I'm glad I made the effort as mine had got so big it was causing me pain [ewww emoticon]! And I didn't even use up a whole tube either!

miaow I couldn't do the bazooka thing with one of them because it is in an awkward place that I can't see

I can apply a big bit of tape randomly around the area with less problems
