Low Blood Pressure

Just wondering if anyone else suffers with low blood pressure, especially when first getting up. Always had low blood pressure and felt a little bit shaky and weak for the first 45 minutes on getting up. However recently it's been a little worse. Also noticed my Fitbit kept congratulating me on earning activity points just for getting out of bed, as my heart rate seems to spike from 63-65 to 105-110 on getting up, but then almost immediately goes down again,

So I've started taking my blood pressure this last week 10 minutes after getting up, heart rate is usually heading back down again then, but my blood pressure seems very low even for me.

tue 92/69 heart rate 78
wed 88/62 heart rate 84
thurs 88/58 heart rate 84
fri 87/61 heart rate 85
sat 86/58 heart rate 80
sun 83/57 heart rate 86

Have booked in with the GP but like usual, I've got to wait a couple of week for an appointment. Luckily Fitbit app clearly shows high heart rate spike and I have an app to record the blood pressure to show the Doctor. Only meds I'm on is Estrogel and had thyroid checked recently and it was ok. Just wondering if anyone else has this type of thing?

You should google POTS, op. It sounds similar to symptoms my dsis has and she received this diagnosis. I have low blood pressure and feel very dizzy just trying to tie laces!

Thanks for the suggestion. I have come across POTS on my googling journey, and I do have hyper-mobility, as does my sister, and we both have low BP, plus there does often seem to be a link between the two. My GP is a bit useless to be honest and he usually tries to diagnose everything as 'middle aged woman syndrome/menopause'. That's why I've decided to go in armed with my Fitbit data and BP readings, feels like there's definitely something going on.

Yeah I get the ‘it must be menopause’ thing. It’s so tiresome! It’s sad, but you often have to shout louder as a woman. Being armed with some data is a good idea. I really hope the GP takes this information on board.
