DD has first wobbly tooth (at 8 years 9 months lol) - should I encourage her to wobble it, or leave it be? Bottom centre if that makes any difference.

Wow, that's quite late isn't it?

Just leave it - it makes no difference afaik.

Yes, very - dentist not worried yet, said he'd x-ray in 6 months if nothing doing, but I was about that age when I first started losing my teeth

Thanks mercy

oh it's weird NotDoing, when your youngest starts losing teeth isn't it.

Yes, they can wobble for a while. Dd's wobbled for months before they fell out and the new teeth were right there underneath. Ds's only wobbled for a bit (but they got a helping hand falling out as he got kicked in the face!).

I bet she's excited MamaG!

MamaG · 09/05/2008 19:31

oh she is! She said she feels like a baby and the boys in class tease her

She's a confident girl though so just retorts that "well I obviously look after mine better than you"

oh yes (good for her mamag!), they have probably started getting fillings in their main teeth and she still has her baby teeth so has pristine new ones . Dd lost her first teeth early and her adult teeth have taken a bashing already.

That's such a dad thing to do isn't it NotDoing!

Mamag - the first one often doesn't hurt but I remember dd crying a few times because it was painful, epecially when she was eating. Apples may be unacceptable for a while.

Btw, the going rate is 20p in this house, or 50p for the ones that really hurt!

And it's so cute when the 2 top teeth fall out - they suddenly develop a slight lisp (and an ability to squeeze food though the gap )
