Hi
I’ve just taken my fourth injection and on weighing myself I have put 2lbs on. I have cut all the rubbish out of my diet and only had a couple of glasses of wine this week. On the first week I only lost 2lb and 4lb on the second so why have I gained weight.

I don't know but I think you should ask this question on the Big/slim/whatever weight loss club board sub section Weight loss injections/treatments as there are loads of posters who will be able to give you excellent advice!

Well done on the positive changes you've made to your diet!

As I understand it, every individual reacts differently to MJ - some people lose a lot of weight in their first month and some don't lose any

I was told by the team at Medicspot that consistency is key, and that you should also celebrate wins other than weight (how you feel, waist, etc)

Hope this helps!

It doesn't melt fat unfortunately!
You will need to know what calories you need to eat to sustain yourself and lose weight just like any other weight loss diet.
Use an app or similar to record what you are eating as you may be overestimating if you are just cutting out junk food for example.

The only way to begin to understand why (or even whether) you have gained weight is to;

  1. Weigh yourself daily - my weight fluctuates a lot on a day to day basis. If I weighed weekly then I would often look like I've gained weight, but my daily weight chart shows a bobbly line headed generally downwards (14kg loss in 4 and a bit months)

  2. log you calories, ideally on an app like NutraCheck that will log everything and also breakdown your protein/fibre etc. It was eye opening to see the actual calories/lack of protein in "healthy" food, and tracking has shown me how easy it is to substitute better food choices.

The WLI will hopefully take away the food noise and hunger pangs while you learn what works for you by weighing daily and tracking food.

Good luck!
