What is 'Odema' ?? (on MRI)

Ds is on his 3rd cardiac MRI in 6m (after Myocarditis & LVSD last July).
The reason for the 3rd one is that he is still symptomatic (exhaustion, sore chest, heart rate varies from 48-148, worse on exertion. Possible PoTs but Consultant 'doesn't believe in it': says it's 'all just anxiety' & sent a Psych appt.
(long story he's not interested but unfortunately head of Dept so hard to avoid)

BUT the Radiologist reports 4 sections of heart affected & Odema in T2.
Surely if it is Odema (swelling ? inflammation?) then it's still technically Myocarditis or can this linger for 7m+ afterwards so you're not technically still ill?

Ds is wanting to make plans for this September re University. I appreciate Consultant doesnt have a crystal ball re recovery but surely should say: 'still Myo, or now recovered, so yes, can plan study, moving, short euro hols etc

I'm not asking for medical 'advice' but anyone with experience of odema re heart?

I've googled (but of course Googling anything re the heart can be scary) & it seems to be water retention / swelling in the heart muscle?

Yes i understand Oedama (sp) to be

Edema (American English), also spelled oedema (British English), and also known as fluid retention, dropsy and hydropsy, is the build-up of fluid in the body's tissue,[1] a type of swelling.[

The explanation above is what I was told before being put on BP meds.

@HelpMeUnpickThis Thanks (I wasn't sure of spelling - report says Odema but online many say edema or oedema?) Ds is on Bisopralol but it's still not better after 7 months. I hope you are getting on okay?
