I am 53 I took a spirometry test. I received a true phone cell from a doctor to say but results showed I was just under the asthma range which meant I had copd . I know all about it copd and I broke down I tears I have 2 teenage children and my anxiety got the better of me.
He said I would see a respiratory nurse and take it from there. Over a month went by and care rancher is a respiratory dr for the practice he apologised and said the other doctor had not read the full results and I had asthma. Now that was a relief however he has put me on an inhaler which is called fobumix this treats cold and asthma, I am still worried. He knew I was anxious so if it's border line would they say that. Has anyone heard or use this fobumix inhaler . Thank you

Google is your friend... I found this in an instant...

What is fobumix used for?

A budesonide inhaler containing formoterol can be used as both a preventer and a reliever for asthma and COPD. Brand names include Symbicort Turbohaler, DuoResp Spiromax, Fobumix Easyhaler and WockAIR. Budesonide also comes as: a nasal spray – for allergic rhinitis, hay fever and nasal polyps.
...
I have COPD and am prescribed salbutamol as a reliever and Trelegy as a preventer...So I believe your second medic diagnosis of asthma is correct...

Please don't worry, just take the inhaler as directed xxx

Thank you for your message. I think it's because the first doctor said it straight away. I have a doubt and everyone I speak to who has asthma has never used the one I have. It is for mild or severe asthma

Yes. I have asthma and am on the same type inhaler (just a different brand but the same medication). I've always had asthma. I was switched to this inhaler a few years ago when my previous one stop working for me.

I understand you are anxious and your doctor was aware of this but ethically a doctor couldn't deliberately tell you an incorrect diagnosis surely. Take care of yourself.
