Don’t know how to explain it but it’s happened a few times - basically I stood up not long ago & my nose started feeling “fizzy” like when you take too big a drink & fizzy juice goes up your nose or when your in a chlorine pool & get water up your nose. It’s happened before but not happed for a while it goes from my nose to my temple. Only on one side this time though but normally feel it in both nostrils. I’ve never knew what it is. Just to add i have low blood pressure & low iron if that helps. Has anyone else experienced this?

Is it the precursor to a migraine? A fizzy nose (and little fingers) is one of the indicators I get before the head pain begins.

I get this when I do any type of activity outside, I don’t know what it is though, I’ve never been able to find out!

I don’t get migraines afterwards. Just the feeling in my nose for a few hours. It’s so hard to describe. Years ago I thought it was to do with high blood pressure then found out I had low blood pressure.

I’ve tried googling it but nothing. Google thinks I mean dizzy instead of fizzy only ever found one mumsnet post about it but still never found anything out

@Moonchild5 did you find out why?

I appreciate you have not had a CT scan but, the second bit may be relevant.

Sinus fizzy" refers to the "Fizz Sign," a medical observation on CT scans where air mixes with infected, bubbly fluid in acute sinusitis, looking like a cola's fizz, often accompanied by crackling sounds or a fizzy feeling when blowing your nose as bacteria produce gas. It's a sign of active infection, but often resolves with treatment, though persistent symptoms need medical attention, notes Healthline and the NIH.

This was a symptom of acute sinusitis for me.
