Antibiotics timings at school

My child is at school 8-6 a couple of days a week. They have antibiotics 3 times a day does anyone know if they need to be spaced out exactly every 8 hours? Thanks

Ideally, yes. 8am, 6pm and midnight would be OK, but you’d have to wake your child up.

Ideally, but we tend to do 6am, immediately after school and immediately before bed (meds can be a bit of a battle so would wake him up too much for me to risk the middle of the night!)

The school can usually give the medication if you sign a consent form. This should help!

Will have to wake in night as they can’t have the antibiotics in school without one of us going in. Was worried about the 4pm being 2 hours late.

Really? I’ve never heard of a school refusing to administer prescribed medication (I’ve heard them refusing over the counter meds). That’s ridiculous of them, they should know how important it is to have antibiotics on time/regular intervals. I appreciate they don’t want an office full of kids needing medicines, but the likelihood of more than a handful needing some are pretty slim. What would they do if they were on a school residential and needed something (Epi pen, inhalers, hayfever meds, long term condition meds, etc)?

sorry OP, that’s not helpful, I just can’t believe this is where we are now as a society. They’d rather impact the kids health than risk getting something wrong.
