Hi All,

I hope you and your LOs are doing well.

I am a first time mum with a 16 month old LO.

While I was 8 months pregnant, my ex husband got angry with my one night and slapped me many times very hard on both sides of my head. I developed tinnitus as a result.

A few months after giving birth he slapped me again on the right side of my head very hard too.

Since that 2nd incident I have always had a tender spot on the side of my head and also uncomfortable feeling in my head.

However, I also noticed that both my eyes after getting hit have also been affected. The left eye next to the pupil there is a patch of discolouration. The right eye, in the white area of my eye on the left side of pupil it's just full of red veins, permanent ones as its same lines, same squiggles. It also has this yellowish greyish tinge there too which has not gone.

Also, my eyes done feel 'right' anymore. I feel like the pressure changes between the eyes. E. g one feels heavier than the other etc.

I wanted to please ask, is this something that's really bad and dangerous, the yellowish greyish tinge scares me to be honest, I'm just panicky about many stuff and having PND is not helping.

Thanks in advance

I’m so sorry that happened to you. What an utter shit he is.

I have no medical knowledge but would suggest seeing an optician tomorrow if you can. They are trained in eye health as well as sight and should know whether it’s something that needs more checking out or not. Hopefully it will be nothing to worry about.

you're so kind, thank you x

I saw optician a while back and they said they can't find anything wrong. Thing is though I think that a optician and optometrist are 2 different professionals. So I am hoping to be seen by the latter. Terrified thought about what they might say

Ok, I hope you get to see one soon. I think an optician would have referred you on if they weren’t sure, so hopefully it is all fine as they said. Please do try to get some sleep and sleep and not tie yourself in knots xx

Opthalmologist is an eye doctor as opposed to an optician. Your GP can refer you.

You also need help with your husband's violence, please talk to someone IRL.
