Now what? Dizzy, nauseous, hungry?!

So about a week ago I woke up randomly with vertigo. Along with the room spinning if I rolled over / got up too fast, I also felt a little off balance / light headed even if sitting and not moving at times, and a bit nauseous off and on. A mild headache. To be expected, right?!

the vertigo went after a few days which was a relief but I’ve been left with the light headed / dizzy feeling, headache and nausea off and on. I am also so bloody hungry. And if I don’t eat, I am shaking, dizzy, just feel awful.

I eat pretty well, egg on toast for breakfast, leftovers or something like tuna pasta for lunch, a decent dinner like bolognese, chicken fajitas, a roast, plenty of veg etc.

I don’t tend to snack much, I get hungry during lunch and dinner and will have a glass of milk or maybe an apple with cheese or a banana to keep me going.

but since this has started I feel like all I do is eat. I’m too scared not to because I feel so ill if I don’t!

I drink lots of water, no alcohol, don’t smoke. I’m not overweight, BMI is about 23.5/24 so I’m in the healthy range.

is this just a weird virus? I don’t think it’s doctor worthy. I’m 38, not pregnant.

had bloods done about 6 months ago, all good, ferritin was about 65 I think, everything else was completely normal. Hba1c was about 30 I think so not even pre diabetic.

it’s starting to make me anxious about doing anything now and not being near food! And I’m struggling with that because I don’t really know what to eat when I’m hungry! I had some toast with peanut butter at 8:30 last night. I didn’t fancy it at all but my stomach was rumbling and I felt sick and I was worried how I’d wake up if I didn’t (I ignored the hunger the night before and spent basically all of yesterday morning with the shakes and feeling dizzy and sick even after I’d had egg on toast and some fruit juice).

I think it’s making me anxious now because I’m really struggling with jaw ache, presumably from clenching which I’m sure is making it worse. I just want it to go away!

@AgnesVv i usually use beconase, I’ll have a Google and see the difference. Hope you’re better soon!

interesting you also get sinus issues. I wonder if it’s a weak spot so settled there for us

@WhatNOWfffs IME Pirinase is far better, I found Beconase useless!

@AgnesVv ive just googled it and the steroid appears to be the same as avamys which cleared me up before, so I will get some! Annoying as just bought a new bottle of beconase (GP recommended hence I stuck with it)

Yes Avamys is what I have prescribed. But as you say it is more or less the same thing as Pirinase which you can buy from the pharmacy.

My son tried all that. Tempo fix. The neti pot cleared him out for good.
